A BEACH VOLLEYBALL PROGRAM FOR ATHLETES WHO WANT TO UP THEIR GAME.
Whitesands began in 1993 with lifelong best friends Gareth Houben and Keith Johnston, who turned their love of beach volleyball into a brand after winning a provincial championship as teenagers. What started as a logo and a small run of apparel captured the spirit of the beach game and laid the foundation for what Whitesands would become.
Years later, that same passion led to the creation of Whitesands Volleyball. Gareth and Jocelyn saw the opportunity to build something meaningful and knew the Whitesands name was the perfect fit — a nod to its roots and a step forward into high-level training. Today, the program carries that legacy with a modern identity inspired by the original 1993 logo.
Built on a shared passion for volleyball, Whitesands Volleyball combines Jocelyn's drive as a coach and educator with Gareth's decades of experience and technical expertise. Training takes place on a regulation, Olympic-spec beach court set on a private estate in Oro-Medonte — offering athletes a focused, high-repetition environment through clinics, camps, and private lessons designed to teach the game the right way.

Four values. Zero compromises.
Effort
The one thing every athlete controls. We demand it every rep.
Discipline
Show up. On time. Prepared. Every session.
Partnership
Two players. One court. The beach game is built on trust.
Growth
Better than yesterday. That's the only scoreboard that matters.
Olympic-spec. Private estate.
Our court is built to international tournament specifications and sits on a private estate property in the hills of Oro-Medonte — a short drive from Barrie, Orillia and the GTA. Pure sand, open sky, and zero distractions.
